Ryan Blaney and Todd Gilliland to vie for $1 million NASCAR In‑Season Challenge prize at Indianapolis

Ryan Blaney, the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series champion racing for Team Penske, and Todd Gilliland of Front Row Motorsports will contest the final of the NASCAR In‑Season Challenge during the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The showdown offers a $1 million bonus for the driver whose car finishes highest, with both drivers representing Ford entries.

Gilliland secured his place in the final after an eighth‑place finish at North Wilkesboro, which also eliminated defending champion Chase Elliott. He noted, “We’ve had luck on our side, but our speed improved dramatically at North Wilkesboro and we deserve this opportunity.” Blaney, coming off victories at Atlanta and a dominant win by teammate Joey Logano at North Wilkesboro, said, “I feel good about this season – we’ve worked hard to find speed where needed and have gotten better each week.”

The head‑to‑head contest at the historic 2.5‑mile circuit will determine which team claims the million‑dollar prize and could influence the drivers’ trajectories for the remainder of the season.
