Ryan Castro to hold free concert in Medellín's Comuna 13

Colombian urban artist Ryan Castro will perform a free DJ set on Thursday, 6 August, at 4 p.m. in the Cancha de la Independencia located in Medellín’s Comuna 13. The event repeats the massive free concert he staged in the same venue last year and is organized by his production team, Awoo Team.

The concert aims to attract a large community audience, with suggested attire in red and yellow. Castro plans to debut a new song titled “Mentira,” turning the gathering into a live launch as well as a community gathering. No ticket is required, and organizers have not announced any capacity limits or special mobility measures.

The free show is part of a series of community‑focused performances Castro has held across Medellín, reinforcing the cultural revitalisation of Comuna 13, which has become a notable venue for artistic and tourist activity in recent years.
