Ryan Clark launches new media venture after ESPN departure

Former NFL safety and ESPN analyst Ryan Clark has launched a new media venture, ‘The Pivot Sports with Ryan Clark’, which debuted on September 14. The move follows his departure from ESPN in July during a period of network restructuring and layoffs.

Clark has addressed the circumstances of his exit, describing it as a ‘firing’ rather than a standard layoff. He alleged that ESPN intentionally leaked news of his departure to a conservative sports site to ‘humiliate’ him. He also noted that he is currently under a non-compete agreement with ESPN that remains in effect until the end of February, which may limit his return to network television in the immediate future.

Clark’s career includes a 13-year NFL tenure, most notably as a Super Bowl-winning safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers, followed by an 11-year career as a prominent analyst for ESPN.
