Ryan Douglas to leave PSŻ Poznań for Polonia Bydgoszcz

Ryan Douglas is set to leave PSŻ Poznań to join Abramczyk Polonia Bydgoszcz for the 2027 season. The decision was confirmed by PSŻ President Jakub Kozaczyk following Douglas's performance in a recent playoff match against Gezet Stal Gorzów.

Despite leading PSŻ Poznań to a 47:43 victory in the first playoff match for promotion to the PGE Ekstraliga, Douglas's departure is considered formal. Kozaczyk stated that a ‘gentleman's agreement’ exists between the clubs, ensuring the Australian rider moves to the top-tier side regardless of whether PSŻ Poznań achieves promotion.

Douglas contributed 14 points in the recent match, demonstrating his value to the team even as his departure becomes certain. The club president emphasized his commitment to honoring the agreement made with the leadership of the Bydgoszcz club.
