Ryan Garcia and Isaac Cruz face conflicting claims amid potential matchup

Speculation regarding a high-profile boxing match between WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia and WBC interim super-lightweight champion Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz has intensified following conflicting claims from both sides.

Trainer Abel Sanchez has advised Cruz to avoid a bout with Garcia, predicting a knockout victory for the welterweight champion. Sanchez cited Garcia’s superior size, strength, reach, and intelligence as decisive factors, suggesting Garcia’s counter-punching style would exploit Cruz’s aggressive approach.

Contradicting the narrative of a mutual pursuit, Ryan Garcia has claimed that Cruz has ducked him on three separate occasions. However, observers note that following his recent victory over Nestor Bravo, Cruz publicly called out Garcia in the ring. Discrepancies remain regarding potential fight dates and weight classes, as Garcia competes at 147 pounds while Cruz holds an interim title at 140 pounds.
