Ryan Gerard's Paris Holiday Highlights Rise in World Golf Rankings

Professional golfer Ryan Gerard spent a three‑day layover in Paris after the British Open, using the trip to reflect on his rapid ascent in the world rankings. In December he was ranked No. 57, but a playoff loss in Mauritius moved him to No. 46, securing a place at the Masters and positioning him at No. 16 in the FedEx Cup heading into the Wyndham Championship.

During his visit Gerard and his mother toured the city’s landmarks and, for amusement, searched the Louvre for the "worst statue," settling on the Greek work "Boy with a Goose" by Boethus. He noted the contrast between his mother’s appreciation of the art and his own light‑hearted quest.
