Dead Man's Bones to release new music after 17 years

The indie rock duo Dead Man's Bones, featuring actor Ryan Gosling and musician Zach Shields, has announced they will release new music on October 27. This marks the group's first new material since their self-titled debut album in 2009.

The announcement was teased via an eerie promotional video on Instagram, which features a spooky, Halloween-themed atmosphere. The news was also shared by Gosling's partner, actress Eva Mendes, who noted on social media that the actor had fulfilled a promise to release new music.

Formed in 2007, the duo is known for a macabre aesthetic inspired by themes of ghosts and monsters, often incorporating children's choirs into their sound. While Gosling has since achieved massive mainstream success through films like 'Barbie' and 'La La Land', the revival of this side project brings his earlier indie-rock roots back to the forefront.
