Ryan Hulance becomes millionaire through aluminum recycling project

Ryan Hulance, a 13-year-old from Solihull in the West Midlands, UK, has become a millionaire through an aluminum recycling initiative he started at age 10. Operating under the name We Can Community CIC, the project has seen Hulance collect approximately 1.5 million aluminum cans.

Starting in November 2022, Hulance coordinated with local businesses, cafes, and neighbors to collect discarded cans. The operation has grown significantly, with reports indicating he now collects around 20,000 cans per week from approximately 200 regular suppliers. To manage the increasing volume, his family provided support, including an industrial machine to compress and bale the aluminum.

Beyond personal wealth, the project has provided substantial community support. Hulance has donated approximately £18,000 to local food banks and various charitable organizations to assist those in need.
