Ryan Kainalo wins Maresias Challenger Series stage

Brazilian surfer Ryan Kainalo won the Challenger Series stage at Maresias Beach in São Sebastião, securing his qualification for the 2027 Championship Tour (CT), the elite level of professional surfing.

In the final, Kainalo defeated Australia's Alister Reginato with a score of 14.50 points to 5.83. This victory, following his previous win in Pantín, Spain, in August, has placed him at the top of the live Challenger Series rankings.

The competition featured 128 athletes. Kainalo's performance was part of a strong showing for athletes from Ubatuba, as fellow competitor Weslley Dantas also remains highly ranked in the circuit.
