Ryan Murphy completes script for ‘Glee’ reboot

Ryan Murphy has announced that the script for a potential reboot of the musical comedy series ‘Glee’ has been completed. Murphy collaborated on the writing with Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, the co-creators of the show’s first two seasons.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Murphy stated that he has been in contact with approximately ten members of the original cast, all of whom expressed enthusiasm for the project despite having various questions. While the script is written, Murphy noted that no cast members have read the full scenes yet, as he intends to write more episodes before officially presenting the project to evaluate reactions and plan next steps.

The original series aired on Fox from 2009 to 2015, focusing on the McKinley High School glee club. As of now, no streaming platform or studio has officially confirmed the production of the revival.
