Ryan Murphy reveals why Ariana Grande's Scream Queens crossover was scrapped

Creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that a planned crossover between ‘Scream Queens’ and ‘American Horror Story’ season 13 did not materialize due to scheduling conflicts. Ariana Grande was set to reprise her role as Chanel #2, which would have connected the two horror universes for the first time.

Murphy explained that while Grande expressed interest in participating, her ‘Eternal Sunshine Tour’ made the timing impossible for the production. Despite the cancellation of the crossover for the upcoming season, Murphy indicated that he has not abandoned the idea of revisiting ‘Scream Queens’ and noted that several original cast members, including Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, and Lea Michele, have expressed interest in returning.
