Ryan Murphy’s ‘Shards’ series premieres on Disney+

The Disney+ series ‘Shards’, produced by Ryan Murphy, has premiered on the streaming platform. Based on the bestselling novel by Bret Easton Ellis, the production is a psychological thriller set in 1981 Los Angeles.

The story follows Bret, an aspiring writer and student at a traditional preparatory school, whose life is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious new student named Robert Mallory. Amidst the backdrop of wealthy youth culture and 1980s glamour, a serial killer known as ‘The Trawler’ begins terrorizing the city.

The first season consists of ten episodes. The fifth episode is scheduled to be released on Disney+ on Wednesday, August 19. The cast includes Igby Rigney, Homer Gere, Kaia Gerber, Evan Rachel Wood, and Wes Bentley.
