Ryan Nugent-Hopkins sets Edmonton Oilers games played record

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has set a new franchise record for the Edmonton Oilers, playing his 1,038th game and surpassing Kevin Lowe. The team honored the milestone with a video tribute and commemorative shirts.

In recent NHL news, former Calgary Flames player Jarome Iginla shared that he is facing serious health issues, which he believes may be a reaction to metal toxins from a cobalt hip implant. He reported high mercury levels and stated he is working to get the situation under control.

Additionally, Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov addressed his trade request, stating his grievances are directed at General Manager Julien Brisebois regarding communication and feeling disrespected, rather than financial issues or the team's performance.
