Ryan Odom signs contract extension with University of Virginia

University of Virginia Director of Athletics Carla Williams announced that men’s head basketball coach Ryan Odom has signed a contract extension running through March 2032.

Odom’s first season at UVA in 2025-26 saw the Cavaliers achieve a 30-6 record and a 15-3 mark in the ACC. During that season, Odom was named a semifinalist for the Naismith National Coach of the Year Award and led the team to the ACC Tournament final.

Over a 12-season collegiate coaching career, Odom has compiled a record of 252-166, with previous head coaching roles at VCU, Utah State, UMBC, and Lenoir-Rhyne.
