Ryanair adds Priority & 2 Cabin Bags service as new carry‑on options launch in Europe
Travel firms are expanding luggage solutions for European flyers. Rick Steves and his team introduced the Riga Rolling Case, a 7.2‑lb polycarbonate carry‑on with multiple zippered and waterproof compartments, marketed as a lightweight option for passengers who avoid checked bags. Away also released its Topside Bigger Carry‑On, a single‑section suitcase designed for quick security access.
At the same time, low‑cost carrier Ryanair rolled out a new ancillary product called “Priority & 2 Cabin Bags.” The add‑on lets passengers purchase early gate boarding and bring two cabin items—a personal item (40×25×25 cm) and a 10‑kg roll‑cabin bag (55×40×20 cm). Ryanair says the service should cut boarding‑gate disputes and speed turnaround times, while providing an additional revenue stream.
