Ryanair flights hit by passenger altercation and passport‑control system glitch

A French court in Toulouse fined two passengers €10,000 each and handed them 10‑month suspended prison sentences after a violent fight on a Ryanair flight from London to Ibiza forced the aircraft, carrying 184 people, to divert to Toulouse.

Separately, about 70 travelers missed a Ryanair service from Lanzarote to Edinburgh when a breakdown of the European Entry System (EES) caused extensive passport‑control delays at the Spanish airport. Ryanair said passengers who arrived at the gate on time boarded without incident and blamed the technical failure, which affected border checks across Europe, for the missed connections.
