Rybnik celebrates 170 years of railway history

Rybnik celebrated the 170th anniversary of its railway operations with a special commemorative train journey. The jubilee route traveled from Katowice through Racibórz and Rybnik, concluding at the Rybnik Niewiadom station.

To mark the occasion, the Marcel Mining Orchestra performed at the Rybnik station. The celebrations included visits to the Ignacy Mine via hydrogen bus and presentations of historic steam machinery. Local officials noted that the introduction of rail in 1856 was a fundamental driver for the region's industrial and transport development.
