Ryder Cup 2027 introduces legacy fund for Limerick communities

Ryder Cup Europe has announced the launch of a Local Impact and Legacy Fund to support the 2027 Ryder Cup in Limerick, Ireland. The fund is designed to provide grants of up to €20,000 to local organisations and projects, aiming to create a lasting positive effect on the community surrounding the host venue, Adare Manor, and the wider Limerick region.

To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate a positive impact in one of five priority areas: community, skills and education, environment, disability, or regeneration. These categories align with the 2023-2028 Limerick Local Economic and Community Plan and the Ryder Cup’s ‘Beyond the Fairway’ programme.

A steering committee will oversee the allocation of funds. The committee includes representatives from the European Tour Group, the Limerick City and County Council, and John Kiely, the manager of the Limerick Senior Hurling team. Applications for the grants must be submitted by January 29, 2027, with successful applicants to be notified by April 30, 2027. The Ryder Cup is scheduled to take place at Adare Manor from September 13 to 19, 2027.
