Ryder Cup captains celebrate 2027 Year to Go in Limerick

Ryder Cup captains Luke Donald (Team Europe) and Jim Furyk (Team USA) participated in celebrations in Limerick, Ireland, marking the ‘Year to Go’ countdown for the 2027 tournament.

During a concert at King John’s Castle, the captains appeared together for a live Q&A session before an audience of 2,000 people. The event featured musical performances by The Coronas and BIIRD, alongside a fireworks display.

In a community initiative, the captains visited Rathbane Golf Club to mentor approximately 30 young athletes. They also donated 50 sets of golf clubs to the municipal facility to encourage participation in the sport among local youth. The visit was attended by Ireland’s Minister of Culture, Communications and Sport, Patrick O’Donovan.
