Ryder Laplante achieves career-best results in sprint car racing
Ryder Laplante is experiencing a career-best season in sprint car racing despite facing early setbacks. After an injury at Texas Motor Speedway forced him to miss a May event at Benton Speedway, the 19-year-old driver returned to competition in June.
Since his return, Laplante has secured a fifth-place standing in the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) National Tour, recording top-10 finishes in nine of his last 10 races. He also achieved a podium appearance at Big Sky Speedway and a win in IMCA competition at Abilene Speedway.
Laplante attributes his recent success to the addition of veteran crew chief Bobby Craft. He noted that Craft’s technical knowledge and hands-on teaching style have been instrumental in helping him position his car more effectively to find speed on the track.
