Japanese actor Ryō Miyazaki's affair scandal with former Takarazuka star draws public outcry

Actor Ryō Miyazaki, married to actress Shuri and father of a one‑year‑old child, was reported to have met former Takarazuka performer Hana Marìa at a hotel in Tokyo on a break day from the musical "Love Unscheduled" (愛の不時着). Both parties acknowledged the meeting but denied any romantic relationship, and their agencies issued apologies for the inappropriate behavior.

The incident sparked widespread criticism on social media, with many expressing sympathy for Shuri and condemning Miyazaki’s conduct. Father‑in‑law actor Yutaka Mizutani’s earlier remarks warning about unknown men in the entertainment world were highlighted as an ominous “prediction.” Media also recalled Miyazaki’s prior financial controversy involving a YouTuber and noted that he had driven a Lamborghini to transport Hana.

Fuji Television, one of the production partners of the musical, faced additional scrutiny as net‑izens mocked the show’s title, dubbing it "Love no Fuji‑Landing," reflecting broader concerns about compliance and conduct in Japanese entertainment.
