Ryo Ryusei reflects on acting alongside Masato Sakai in ‘VIVANT’

Actor Ryo Ryusei has shared reflections on his role as Kotaro Shinjo in the second season of the TBS drama ‘VIVANT’. In a recent interview, Ryusei discussed the intense interrogation scene filmed with lead actor Masato Sakai, describing it as a career milestone. He noted that the experience fulfilled a long-held dream of acting alongside Sakai, whom he had admired since watching ‘Hanzawa Naoki’.

Ryusei highlighted the scale of the production, mentioning the use of approximately 300 extras for specific shots and the challenges of filming in various locations. He also addressed the difficulty of performing in Thai for scenes involving Thai characters, explaining that he focused on maintaining the emotional flow of the Japanese dialogue while adapting the spoken words to Thai to ensure authenticity.

As the series approaches its 14th episode, Ryusei described the upcoming installment as a culmination of his character’s journey and the overall narrative of the season.
