Ryoki Miyama denies allegations of coercing co-star Maria Kano

Actor Ryoki Miyama is facing allegations regarding his conduct toward former Takarazuka performer Maria Kano during their time working together on the musical ‘Crash Landing on You’. Reports from FRIDAY Digital claim Miyama pressured Kano to meet him privately at hotels and allegedly threatened to withdraw from the production if she refused, potentially causing financial damages.

Miyama’s legal representatives have issued a full denial, stating the allegations are “completely groundless.” Miyama previously stated that his time spent with Kano was strictly for character research and that they are no longer in contact. While both parties’ management teams previously acknowledged that the two spent time together for role preparation, they denied any improper relationship or coercion.

The controversy has also drawn attention to Miyama’s marriage to actress Shuri. Following reports of intimate message exchanges between Miyama and Kano, public concern has grown regarding the stability of Miyama and Shuri’s relationship.
