Ryokuoushoku Shakai releases ‘TABOO’ music video and announces arena tour

The Japanese band Ryokuoushoku Shakai has released the music video for ‘TABOO’, a track from their sixth original album, ‘Atamago’, which debuted on September 9. Directed by Jun Tamukai, the video features a concept where vocalist Haruko Nagaya encounters and multiplies with other versions of herself in a near-future setting dominated by AI.

In recent interviews regarding the new album, the band members discussed their creative processes and personal changes. Haruko Nagaya explained that the album title ‘Atamago’ is a coined term reflecting her desire to treat each song like a beloved child. The members also shared that they often find inspiration while in the bath, with some spending long periods there to facilitate songwriting.

The band is preparing for their largest scale to date, the ‘Ryokuoushoku Shakai ARENA TOUR 2026 “Atamago”’, which is scheduled to hold ten performances across five cities in Japan starting September 19.
