Ryoya Kurihara wins Pacific League home run and RBI titles

Ryoya Kurihara of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks has secured the dual titles for home runs and RBIs in the Pacific League, marking a historic achievement for players from Fukui Prefecture. Kurihara finished the season with 40 home runs and 118 RBIs, leading the league in both categories.

In addition to Kurihara's success, SoftBank players dominated several statistical categories. Kensuke Kondo led the league in OPS (On-base Plus Slugging) with a .999 rating, maintaining his status as an elite hitter for the fourth consecutive year. Other notable performances in the Pacific League include Koki Yamaguchi of Lotte, who finished third in OPS with a .931, and Ryoma Nishikawa of Orix, who tied for the most hits with 155.

Kurihara, who has overcome various injuries throughout his 12-year professional career, will now prepare for the Climax Series starting October 14 as SoftBank seeks its second consecutive Japan Series championship.
