Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio reveals new trailers for Stranger Than Heaven
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and SEGA have released new gameplay trailers for the upcoming action-adventure saga, ‘Stranger Than Heaven’. The game follows the journey of Makoto Daito, a man of mixed American and Japanese heritage, across five different cities and eras in modern Japan.
New footage highlights the year 1929 in Kure, Hiroshima. This chapter takes place approximately 15 years after the Kokura segment, featuring a grown Daito in a city characterized by its waterways, hillsides, and naval presence. The setting includes winter elements such as snowfall and Western-style fashion influenced by foreign presence. Players can engage in side activities including visiting bathhouses, gambling dens, and playing the traditional spinning top game, Beigoma.
Additional footage showcases a 1943 setting in Minami, Osaka. The narrative spans fifty years, depicting a group of individuals struggling to find their place in the world through extreme violence and musical talent. ‘Stranger Than Heaven’ is scheduled for release on January 15, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
