Ryuji Akiyama stars in commercial for former manager's company

Comedian Ryuji Akiyama of the trio Robert attended a promotional event in Tokyo for Takashima Sangyo’s new lutein-enriched egg brand, ‘Aran’. The event was notable due to the unique connection between Akiyama and the company’s marketing representative, Yuki Takashima, who served as Akiyama’s manager for four years.

Akiyama expressed gratitude toward Takashima, noting that it was an unexpected and rare occurrence for a former manager to hire their previous client for a commercial two years after leaving the talent agency. During the presentation, Akiyama performed a comedic segment involving ‘omelet calligraphy’ using ketchup to entertain the audience.

The new commercial for ‘Aran’ eggs, which contain approximately ten times the lutein of standard eggs, is scheduled to air in the Kanto region, Hiroshima, Okayama, and Kagawa.
