Ryuku Tsuchida shines in Chunichi Dragons walk-off victory

Chunichi Dragons infielder Ryuku Tsuchida delivered a standout performance during a game against the Tokyo Yakult Swallows at Vantelin Dome on August 22. Tsuchida contributed both offensively and defensively, helping his team secure a 5-4 walk-off victory in extra innings.

In the seventh inning, Tsuchida hit an RBI double to right field to give the Dragons a temporary lead. His defensive highlight occurred in the eighth inning when he made a spectacular diving stop on a sharp ground ball hit by Domingo Santana. After catching the ball, Tsuchida quickly threw to first base to record the out, drawing significant cheers from the crowd.

Although the Swallows briefly reclaimed the lead in the eighth, the Dragons tied the game in the bottom of the inning. In the tenth inning, Seiya Hosokawa drew a walk-off bases-loaded walk to seal the win for Chunichi.
