Ryukyu RumBar opens in Naha with rum and soft-serve concept

Ryukyu RumBar, a new dessert and bar concept combining Okinawa-produced rum with rich soft-serve ice cream, has opened in Naha, Okinawa. Located on the second floor of the Shimakaze Chanpuru Village in Matsuyama, the establishment officially launched on August 21, 2026.

The venue’s signature offering is the ‘Adult Chanpuru Set,’ an experiential dessert where customers select from three types of Okinawan rum to pour over soft-serve ice cream. The bar also serves a variety of other beverages, including rum highballs, cocktails, and tasting sets featuring both local and international rums.

Ryukyu Soft Cream Co., Ltd. has participated as an investor in the project to create synergy between its brand and the new bar concept. The establishment is operated by Ryukyu Spirits LLC, a company currently being formed by co-representatives Taiya Okano and Ai Sakai.
