Ryunosuke Kamiki joins Bayside Shakedown N.E.W. film

Actor Ryunosuke Kamiki has been officially confirmed to appear in the film ‘Bayside Shakedown N.E.W. Metropolis o Kakenukero!’. This marks his return to the long-running franchise after 23 years.

Kamiki previously appeared in the series as a child actor in the 2003 film ‘Bayside Shakedown The Movie 2: Rainbow Bridge o Fuusa seyo!’, where he played the eldest son of a pickpocket family. In his new appearance, though his role is described as brief, Kamiki expressed his joy at receiving the offer, noting, “I am so happy to have received the offer! After all this time, to be able to say the same lines as back then... it is my best memory.”

The latest installment, starring Yuji Oda, is set in Tokyo in the year 2026. The plot follows protagonist Shunsaku Aoshima as he faces high-stakes crimes, including kidnapping for ransom, serial killings involving 3D-printed guns, and threats involving toxic viruses.
