Rıza Kayaalp targets 2026 World Wrestling Championships

Turkish wrestler Rıza Kayaalp has announced his intention to compete in the 2026 World Wrestling Championships, scheduled to take place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from October 24 to November 1.

Kayaalp, who holds 13 European championships and 5 world titles, stated that his primary focus is preparing for the upcoming Olympics. He noted that participating in the World Championships is essential to maintaining his competitive strength and staying active in the sport.

With a career total of 28 medals across European, World, and Olympic competitions, Kayaalp expressed confidence in his physical condition. He mentioned that his current preparation involves adjusting his weight to increase speed while maintaining power.
