Rēzekne murder investigation transferred to prosecutor

Police in Rēzekne have concluded an investigation into the murder of a man born in 1987, whose body was discovered in an apartment with signs of violent death. The case has been transferred to the prosecutor's office for criminal prosecution.

A man born in 1995 has been detained and placed in custody, while a woman born in 1991 has been detained under non-custodial security measures. Investigators noted that the suspects were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crime.

Additionally, two men born in 1972 and 1988 have been identified as witnesses who failed to report the particularly serious crime. Both men are now suspects under Article 315 of the Criminal Law for failing to report the incident.
