Rzekuń implements water conservation education and infrastructure upgrades
In Rzekuń, students from the Józef Bem Public Primary School participated in creative workshops titled ‘Water in My Life’ to learn about the importance of water resources and conservation. The educational initiative is part of a broader campaign by the Rzekuń Municipality, which includes the modernization of local water infrastructure.
The project involves renovating and rebuilding the Water Treatment Plant in Rzekuń and upgrading parts of the water supply network. The initiative has received non-reimbursable funding of over 2.6 million PLN from the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. Through art and discussion, students explored how water reaches homes and ways to reduce daily consumption, such as turning off taps to prevent waste.
