Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport reaches one million passenger milestone
Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport welcomed its millionth passenger on Thursday, October 22, 2026. The milestone passenger arrived on a Ryanair flight from London-Stansted.
Despite reaching this threshold, airport president Adam Hamryszczak noted that the total annual result may not break previous records due to several external factors. These include the suspension of Lufthansa flights, which resulted in a loss of approximately 80,000 to 90,000 passengers annually, reduced operations by SkyUp, higher aviation fuel prices, and security-related flight delays or diversions caused by airspace alerts near the Ukrainian border.
During the recent summer season, the airport offered 31 regular and charter destinations across 16 countries. Antalya, Turkey, was the most popular holiday destination with 82,000 passengers, followed by Heraklion and Rhodes in Greece. London remains a leader among regular routes.
