Răzvan Lucescu leaves PAOK after two seasons

Romanian coach Răzvan Lucescu officially departed Greek club PAOK, ending his second spell a year early by mutual agreement. The club announced the termination on its social‑media channels, thanking him for his contributions.

During his two tenures (2017‑2019 and 2021‑2024) Lucescu guided PAOK to two Super League titles (2019, 2024) and two Greek Cups (2018, 2024) across 340 matches. The departure follows a loss in the Greek Cup final to OFI Crete and a third‑place league finish that left PAOK out of the Champions League qualifiers. Marino Pusic was appointed as the new head coach. Reports suggest Lucescu is in discussions with Qatar’s Al‑Sadd and other clubs for his next role.

The change marks the end of a period in which Lucescu became one of PAOK’s most successful recent managers.
