Răzvan Lucescu signs €3.5 million per‑season deal with Qatar's Al‑Sadd

Romanian football manager Răzvan Lucescu secured a new contract with Qatar club Al‑Sadd after his departure from Greek side PAOK Salonica. The move, confirmed by Greek media, will see him replace former Italian coach Roberto Mancini, who left the Qatari team.

The agreement is reported to pay Lucescu roughly €3.5 million (about $3.5 million) per season, considerably more than the €2 million he earned annually at PAOK. The salary places him among the highest‑paid Romanian coaches working abroad.

Lucescu, 57, previously coached in Qatar with El‑Jaish between 2012 and 2014, winning the Qatar Stars Cup. He announced his acceptance of the Al‑Sadd offer via a brief statement, signalling his return to the Gulf region for the upcoming season.
