Răzvan Puiu claims EA Sports FC 26 world title in Paris

Romanian esports player Răzvan "RvPLegend" Puiu won the EA Sports FC 26 World Championship, held in Paris from July 22 to 26 as part of the Esports World Cup 2026. Puiu, competing for the Romanian club HyperSpirit, advanced through play‑ins and a series of knockout rounds, defeating opponents from Germany, Brazil, Bulgaria, Morocco and finally Germany’s Levy "levyfinn" Rieck in the final 6‑5.

The victory awards Puiu a prize of $250,000 (about €220,000) and elevates HyperSpirit by 1,000 points in the Esports World Cup club rankings. The title marks the first world championship for a Romanian player in the EA Sports FC series.
