Sé do Funchal promotes digital platform for confession preparation

The Sé do Funchal has promoted a digital platform called ‘Confessa-te’ to assist Catholics in preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Portuguese Catholic application provides various resources, including an examination of conscience based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, with questions tailored for both youth and adults.

The platform allows users to organize aspects they wish to confess and includes features such as prayer lists, history, and a help section. It also offers a step-by-step guide to the sacrament, covering the process from the sign of the cross to the final farewell. Additionally, the site addresses practical questions regarding confession and privacy.

The Diocese of Funchal already lists ‘Confessa-te’ as a resource on its official website. In announcing the tool, the Cathedral also noted the available confession schedules, which take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 10:00, with an additional session on Fridays from 16:30 to 17:00.
