S. Jaishankar describes US as a 'lonelier power' amid China's rise

At the 62nd Munich Security Conference, Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar remarked that the United States has undergone a “radical repositioning” and has “deliberately become a lonelier power.” He described this shift as a “posture of choice” by Washington.

Jaishankar noted that the current global landscape is defined by this American repositioning alongside the rise of China. He highlighted that the intense competition between the two nations has led to the “weaponization of any leverage that any country has,” even as global interdependence remains complex.
