S-Pohang Hospital's Deok-ho Park receives Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine Academic Award

Deok-ho Park, Research Director at S-Pohang Hospital, has been awarded the Clinical Academic Award at the 2026 International Autumn Conference of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine. The award recognizes his significant contributions to the advancement of rehabilitation medicine and its clinical application.

Park, who also serves as an adjunct professor at the POSTECH Graduate School of Convergence Science and Technology, has been recognized for establishing a convergence research system that addresses clinical challenges through engineering techniques. His work focuses on a virtuous cycle of research: identifying clinical issues, conducting engineering-integrated research, and reapplying those findings to patient care.
