S. RIDE expands taxi-hailing service to Hokkaido

S. RIDE Inc. has launched its taxi-hailing application in Hokkaido, specifically targeting the Sapporo transportation area as of September 1, 2026. The service has been integrated into more than 300 vehicles operated by providers including Heart Taxi (Myojo Motor Co., Ltd. and Sapporo Nikko Taxi Co., Ltd.) and TAXI NEXT Co., Ltd.

Developed using AI and IT technologies from the Sony Group, the app supports both individual and corporate users through features such as immediate dispatch, reservations, and fixed-fare options. It also includes digital payment capabilities via the S. RIDE WALLET system and supports various payment methods including major credit cards, Apple Pay, and PayPay.

This expansion brings the total number of prefectures served by S. RIDE to 13. The company aims to continue expanding its service area to other major regional cities across Japan to support local mobility and business needs.
