Poland advances major expressway construction and tenders

Poland is advancing several major expressway projects across the country. The Generalna Dyrekcja Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad (GDDKiA) has announced a tender to complete a 12.5 km section of the S19 expressway between Domaradz and Krosno, following the termination of a previous contract. The new project will follow a ‘design and build’ model.

Significant progress is also being made on the S10 expressway between Szczecin and Wałcz, which currently represents one of the largest road construction sites in Poland, spanning 96 km. Meanwhile, environmental approvals have been granted for key sections of the S12 and S74 expressways in the Łódź region, totaling 70 km of new roads.

Other major developments include the approval of the S11 route in the Silesian Voivodeship and the finalization of documentation for the S7 expressway near Warsaw, which will feature extensive infrastructure including tunnels and large-scale interchanges to improve access to Gdańsk.
