S2S China selects 10 biotech finalists for investor pitches

The inaugural S2S China Symposium has announced ten biotech startup finalists selected to pitch to global investors. Co-hosted by RA Capital Management and Qiming Venture Partners, the program is the China chapter of Science2Startup, an initiative designed to bridge the gap between academic therapeutics research and biotechnology investors.

The finalists were chosen from a competitive pool of applicants, including approximately 20 semifinalist teams, following multiple rounds of review by biopharma investors. These ten teams will participate in a mentorship program to refine their scientific plans, commercial narratives, and pitch content before presenting at an on-site event at Westlake University on October 15.

S2S China aims to facilitate company formation and clinical development by connecting researchers from academic institutions with venture investors, pharmaceutical scouts, and industry executives. The program is supported by various academic and life sciences leaders, as well as sponsors including Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, and Sanofi.
