S4C announces Lliwen Glwys as new Cyw presenter

S4C has announced Lliwen Glwys as the newest presenter for Cyw, its Welsh-language service for children aged six and under. Glwys, a Machynlleth native and Aberystwyth University graduate, made her first appearance with the team during a session at the National Eisteddfod in Garreg Las on August 6.

Glwys, who has worked as a translator and performed with Cwmni Theatr Maldwyn, expressed her passion for promoting the Welsh language. She described the Cyw service as "a vital gateway to the Welsh language," noting its ability to help children engage with the language in a natural way.

She joins existing presenters Elin Haf, Griff Daniels, and Dafydd Lennon. Her first official on-screen appearance is scheduled for September 2, and she is expected to participate in the Cyw Christmas Tour starting in November.
