S4C to broadcast Welsh-language coverage of Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games

S4C will provide live Welsh‑language coverage of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games from 24 July to 2 August, spanning ten days of competition across ten sports. The partnership includes a record‑breaking Para sport programme with 47 medal events in six disciplines, ensuring Welsh‑speaking audiences can follow Team Cymru throughout the event.

Commonwealth Sport chief executive Katie Sadleir said, “We are delighted to welcome S4C as an official broadcast partner for Glasgow 2026… Welsh‑speaking audiences will be able to experience the excitement, drama and inspiration of the Games live in their own language for the first time.” The S4C team will be presented by Lauren Salter with nightly reports from Alun Williams, and production will be handled by Sunset+Vine.
