SA Automotive to build new manufacturing plant in Coahuila
SA Automotive has announced the development of a new 23,226-square-meter automotive manufacturing plant in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, Mexico. The project is part of a strategy to expand the company's production capacity in North America and will be executed in collaboration with its sister division, SACO AEI.
The facility will focus on manufacturing vehicle interior components and acoustic solutions for automotive manufacturers and tier-one suppliers. Initially, 11,613 square meters will be dedicated to advanced compression and injection molding processes. The plant is expected to begin activities in the first quarter of 2027.
To meet diverse technical requirements, the complex will utilize high-tonnage molding equipment ranging from 660 to 3,500 tons, alongside technologies such as water and gas-assisted injection, iMFLUX systems, and low-pressure molding (LPM). Planned products include interior roof linings, load management systems, and lightweight honeycomb-structured solutions for cargo compartment floors.
