Sa Pa and Fansipan enhance tourism through local specialties and premium brands

In Sa Pa, Lào Cai, local agricultural products are transitioning from raw materials to branded goods through the ‘One Commune, One Product’ (OCOP) program. Local specialties such as salmon, sturgeon, tea, honey, and medicinal herbs are being increasingly integrated into the tourism experience. By focusing on improved packaging, labeling, and traceability, producers are moving toward professional market access rather than relying solely on local traders.

Simultaneously, the culinary landscape at Fansipan is expanding with the presence of diverse beverage brands. At the Sun World Fansipan Legend area, Café Du Soleil offers views of the Hoàng Liên Sơn mountains, while Phê La has introduced a space inspired by Northwest highland culture featuring specialty teas and coffee. Additionally, a Starbucks location at 3,063 meters is set to become the highest Starbucks in Asia, further diversifying the high-altitude consumer experience.
