Sa Pa inaugurates Autumn Festival 2026 to promote cultural heritage
The Sa Pa Autumn Festival 2026 has officially launched in Lao Cai, Vietnam, under the theme ‘Sa Pa – Autumn arrives in the land of heritage’. The event aims to highlight the natural beauty and cultural richness of local ethnic communities while promoting Sa Pa as a premier national and international tourist destination.
The festival's opening coincides with the XII Economic Corridor Cooperation Conference, which involves Lao Cai, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, and Yunnan, China. This cooperation seeks to strengthen investment, trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges across the region.
Scheduled activities include the first Northwest Brocade Carnival, the Ban May Golden Harvest Festival, and various cultural recreations such as the Highland Market and the Sa Pa Love Market. The festival is part of a broader series of ‘four-season festivals’ designed to drive sustainable tourism growth in the region.
