Sa Thiès wins best wrestler at Lutte TV Awards

The third edition of the Lutte TV Awards, held in Dakar, honored the top performers of the 2025-2026 Senegalese wrestling season. Sa Thiès was named the best wrestler with striking (lutte avec frappe), receiving the Yékini trophy. This distinction follows his significant victory over Modou Lô in April 2026, which ended a seven-year reign and established him as the eighth King of the Arena.

Other major award recipients include Ordinateur, who was named the best wrestler without striking (lutte sans frappe) and received the Reug Reug trophy. Petit Lô was recognized as the best prospect (meilleur espoir), while Modou Lô was honored with the fair-play award. Baye Ndiaye was once again named the best promoter, and Abo Fiiw received the award for best columnist.
