Saša Ilić to remain Partizan head coach

Saša Ilić has reversed his decision to resign and will remain the head coach of Partizan. The 48-year-old specialist had previously submitted his resignation following a 1-2 defeat against Mladost Lučani.

Ilić explained that the decision to stay was influenced by the club's management and the overwhelming support from fans during a recent match against Getafe. Despite being eliminated from European competition after the match, the atmosphere and the full stadium provided a turning point for the coach.

During a press conference, Ilić noted that while he is a man of his word, the incredible connection with the supporters and the positive momentum from the Getafe performance compelled him to continue. He expressed hope that the team's recent performance can serve as a turning point for their domestic league and cup campaigns, despite current budgetary constraints.
